Security Forces Conduct Intelligence-Based Operation in Lakki Marwat Resulting in Five Khwarij Killed

On 15 March 2026, Security Forces conducted an intelligence-based operation in Lakki Marwat District following reports of the presence of Khwarij affiliated with an Indian proxy, Fitna al Khwarij. During the operation, the forces engaged the Khwarij location, and after an intense exchange of fire, five Khwarij were killed. Weapons and ammunition were recovered from the slain militants, who were reportedly involved in multiple terrorist activities in the area. A sanitization operation is underway to eliminate any remaining Indian-sponsored Khwarij in the vicinity. This operation is part of the ongoing Counter Terrorism campaign under Vision Azm-e-Istehkam, approved by the Federal Apex Committee on National Action Plan, and led by Security Forces and Law Enforcement Agencies of Pakistan to eradicate foreign-sponsored and supported terrorism from the country.
