Pakistan’s Permanent Representative to the United Nations, Ambassador Asim Iftikhar Ahmad, delivered a national statement at the UNSC briefing on the Middle East. He warned that settler violence has reached its highest level since UN tracking began and stressed that what we are witnessing is no longer isolated incidents but organized, coordinated attacks against the Palestinian population, a direct consequence of an occupation system operating with impunity. He underscored that such measures violate international law, undermine ongoing peace efforts, run counter to the Comprehensive Plan, and jeopardize the prospects for achieving just and lasting peace. The statement also emphasizes accountability and the upholding of international law within the framework of UNSC Resolution 2334 (SCR 2334).
