Pakistan-Azerbaijan Leaders Exchange Eid Greetings and Commit to De-escalation

A detailed summary of the conversation in which I spoke with President Ilham Aliyev to exchange warm Eid al-Fitr greetings and extend best wishes to the people of Azerbaijan. I expressed gratitude for his reciprocated Eid greetings for the people of Pakistan. I reiterated Pakistan's firm condemnation of attacks against Azerbaijan and reaffirmed our unwavering solidarity with the Azerbaijani people. The leaders agreed on the urgent need to de-escalate tensions and to seek resolution through dialogue and diplomacy.
