On Eid-ul-Fitr, Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif spoke by telephone with His Majesty King Abdullah II ibn Al Hussein of Jordan to discuss the evolving situation in the Middle East. The Prime Minister expressed deep concern over ongoing hostilities and condemned the attacks on Jordan amid the regional escalation. He offered solidarity with the Jordanian people and urged restraint, de-escalation, and a diplomatic resolution of tensions. The leaders also recalled King Abdullah II's visit to Pakistan in November and reaffirmed Pakistan's strong commitment to deepening bilateral cooperation with Jordan in areas of shared interest, particularly trade, investment, and defense, underscoring their mutual dedication to regional stability and prosperity.
