Afghan Taliban authorities have reportedly detained a man who appeared in a viral Kabul video in which he criticizes the leadership of the Islamic Emirate, including Supreme Leader Hibatullah Akhundzada. The clip spread widely on social media in the wake of recent Pakistani airstrikes. Taliban security forces also detained several others who were filmed recording or sharing the footage. In response, high-level orders have been issued restricting the recording and distribution of such videos, with a directive stating that only officially authorized Afghan media outlets may record and publish material of this nature.
