Diplomatic outreach with President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan: Eid greetings, de-escalation calls, and renewed bilateral cooperation

In a cordial evening conversation with President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan of Türkiye, I conveyed warm Eid-ul-Fitr greetings to him, his family, and the Turkish people. We discussed the rapidly evolving situation in the Middle East, condemned the attacks on Türkiye and other regional partners, and reaffirmed Pakistan's steadfast solidarity with Türkiye and with Gulf countries. I expressed readiness to support efforts aimed at de-escalation and dialogue, urged maximum restraint, and stressed the need to resolve differences through dialogue and diplomacy. We exchanged views on Afghanistan, acknowledging Türkiye's constructive role in supporting peace between Pakistan and Afghanistan, including its contribution to the recent temporary ceasefire during Eid days. We also expressed satisfaction with the positive momentum in our bilateral cooperation across all spheres of mutual interest.
