Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif spoke with Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim in a cordial phone conversation. Sharif congratulated Anwar Ibrahim, the Malaysian government, and the people of Malaysia on the occasion of Eid-ul-Fitr. Anwar Ibrahim echoed the greetings in return. The leaders prayed for peace and harmony of the Ummah and called for de-escalation of hostilities in Iran and the Gulf region, agreeing to continue cooperating to advance peace efforts in this regard. They expressed satisfaction with the positive momentum in bilateral ties and reaffirmed their shared resolve to further strengthen Pakistan-Malaysia fraternal relations.
