"FOLLOW-UP REPORT: Pak Afghan Border | Kurram Sector | 22-09-2026Pakistan Army foiled an infiltration attempt by Fitna al-Khawarij under the supervision of Afghan Taliban from Kurram Sector.Following the failed infiltration, the Afghan Taliban resorted to unprovoked firing on Pakistani border posts in Kurram Sector.Pak Security Forces launched a strong and effective retaliatory action and silenced enemy guns.Security sources confirmed that an infiltration attempt by Fitna al-Khawarij under Afghan Taliban supervision was made from Afghan posts located in Nangarhar and Paktia provinces, which was effectively repulsed by the valiant troops deployed at the border.Afghan Taliban targeted Pakistani border posts with heavy weapons, mortars and other arms without provocation.In a prompt, effective and befitting response, Pakistani Security Forces engaged multiple Afghan Taliban border posts, mortar positions and defensive positions with small and heavy weapons including artillery.Pakistani forces maintained complete control over the border areas and gave a befitting response to enemy aggression.As a result of the intense retaliatory action, Afghan Taliban were forced to abandon several posts and flee. Following TTA posts - Jungle Post, Dozakh Post, and Gavi Post were completely destroyed via direct artillery and mortar fire.As per initial reports, 5-6 TTA terrorists have been liquidated so far.The border situation is being continuously monitored and forces remain fully prepared and alert to give an immediate and decisive response to any provocation by the enemy."
